HASG Scholarships

Michele founded the HASG Scholarship Fund in loving memory of her best childhood friend — Billy Garnett, her brother, who passed away in September 2007 at the age of 41.  Her goal for the HASG Scholarship Fund was to be an outside encourager to her students by giving scholarship money to her senior students upon completion of high school.

Between 2008-2014, the HASG Scholarship Fund was able to present thousands of dollars to deserving senior art students.  This fund was raised annually with donations and various fund raisers, including the HASG Art in Motion 5K/Fun Run Event.

HASG Art in Motion 5K Event

Michele has a passion for running, as it has been a great help to her physically and mentally over the years. She loves to encourage her students to excel not only artistically & academically, but also spiritually, mentally, & physically, all for the glory of God.  The HASG Art in Motion 5K/Fun Run was born from this passion.
