Anna Kate Yeager
The student artist for this quarter is Anna Kate Yeager. Anna is an 18-year-old senior at Hartselle High School. Anna’s passion of visual art was revealed about three years ago. Since starting art classes at HASG at the age of 15, her accolades immediately began stacking up. She has exhibited and competed for many competitions locally, nationally and internationally. In most cases, she has walked away as a first place or grand prize winner. Her biggest honors to date have to be winning the AL state award for the National Duck Stamp competition and winning 4th place in the International Rotary Club student art competition. Her work still hangs in New Zealand today. In addition to ribbons, plaques, and prizes Anna has made a name for herself as a commissioned artist. Anna plans to attend Auburn University in the fall with a double major – Fine Arts and Human Development and Family Studies.
